CRIMSON SKIES
4. Germania
City of Spies
Located along the western side of the Great Lakes (which have long since merged into one massive inland freshwater sea), it is the closest city to Insomnia by land. The soil here is incredibly fertile due to a cataclysmic volcanic eruption that happened to the west long, long ago. Despite being placed close to the Irradiated Desert, winds do not travel in the direction of Germania.
The people of this city speak in a language more similar to Insomnian than to the common language of Silver. While they're able to survive without the major effects of the desert, the eastern side of the lakes are in the irradiated zone and some amount of it did affect the individuals of Germania. As a result, the humans here have the greatest number of mutations compared to any other part of the country.
Although technically meant to be a listening post to spy on Insomnia, because of it's remote location and archaic lifestyle it's rare that they actually obtain anything of use and it takes a long time for information to make it to Platina. Because the citizens face a fair amount of discrimination due to their language and mutations, they're not especially inclined to be helpful either.
They do, however, supply most of Silver with crops that are able to hold up for the long journey.
The Oligarchy family that is in charge of Germania is said to be responsible for the helicopter crash which killed the former political leaders of Insomnia. The family possesses a very large wyvern that is sandy in color and heavily scarred. It's said that the beast is several hundred years old and is passed from generation to generation.
