~1500 Years Ago, Second Apocalypse
After regaining her strength and reforming, Rhea goes on a rampage. Humans at that time revive Infinity and an intense battle ensues between the two. In order to stop Rhea, Infinity causes radioactive destruction that turns a large portion of North America into a wasteland and atomizes Rhea. This produces a global effect that nearly puts humanity into extinction a second time. Small groups of survivors start new settlements, but history prior to this is largely lost.

~900 Years Ago, Kenora Is Formed
Although the exact origins of Kenora has never been identified, local anthropologists theorize that they were survivors of a cataclysmic event which caused an irradiated wasteland surrounding their homeland. These people likely lived in very small nomadic groups that migrated closer or further from the ocean depending on the season. There is evidence that suggests that a single permanent village was established around 900 years ago.

~300 Years Ago, First Outside Contact
​Silver establishes first contact with Insomnia as a troop of dragon riders attempt to reach the ends of the radiated desert. Communication between the two remains limited for the next two hundred years, but Silver claims Kenora as a part of their own nation. Trade between the two is heavily favored on behalf of Silver, but Kenora is able to experience a population boom due to the new resources that they were never able to access before.

~150 Years Ago, Crime and Population Growth
Due to the sudden population influx, Kenora struggles to establish stability and government. It’s speculated that the powers that people were developing were significantly stronger than their ancestors had ever been. Many groups utilize the volatile situation and strength to attempt to strong arm their way into ruling the population, but violence prevents any individual group from taking hold for a long time. Most people live in poverty and under the protection of their regional syndicate, but these titles rapidly change hands.

115 Years Ago, Establishment of Power Research
Silver sends researchers to Insomnia to research the powers that they have. While mostly aware that Silver is providing this because they want their own people to have powers as well, Kenora leadership accepts the help in hopes that they can find a way to manage things.

80 Years Ago, Research Breakthrough
The earliest descriptions of researchers finding success at manipulating the genetic makeup of certain individuals. Intentions were to weaken powers, but instead manage to create individuals with such a level of strength that they're thought to be akin to gods. This breakthrough comes at the result of reviving Morrighan and using her blood to inject into test subjects. Most of these subjects die.

77 Years Ago, Insomniacs Form
Further development of hyper powered individuals result in a group forming under the guidance of the research team. They are ordered to shut down criminal organizations. Because they are seen working at all hours, citizens speculate that they are angels who don't require rest. The term Insomniacs quickly spread after a newspaper publication.

75 Years Ago, Insomniacs Dissolve
In the midst of internal problems between Insomniacs who were starting to mentally decline from the effects of their treatment, researchers have a 'vaccine' distributed that is said to cure powers and everyone is required to obtain it. It's said that this was a placebo and the Insomniacs themselves were absorbing these powers which causes issues to escalate. Infighting leads to the Insomniacs murdering one another until Morrighan seals herself away into a mirror with Killer Queen and Miami Stardust, the two remaining Insomniacs with the most power of them all.

75 Years Ago, Insomnia Established
After the disappearance of the Insomniacs, the city rallies to establish a formal government. Religious zealots that worshipped the Insomniacs as gods influence the direction of policy heavily. 

 

30 Years Ago, Ellis Becomes Insomnia's 3rd Leader
A helicopter flying over the radiated desert to Platina crashes in what is assumed to be a planned assassination of all major members of Insomnia's government, thought to be because they had objected to pressure placed on them to increase their tribute to Silver. As the only voted individual who hadn't been on the helicopter, Ellis is made defacto mayor despite only being a low level treasurer. He decides to run as mayor in the following election to determine a permanent position and wins.

~26 Years Ago, Beginning of the 2nd Ascension
After Morrighan gives up on containing Killer Queen, the mirror breaks and all three are reintroduced to the world. Killer Queen and Miami Stardust both lack the strength to present a visible body and fight continually as Miami attempts to stop KQ from gaining strength. The shards of the mirror are spread across the city and various groups appear with superpowers. Most of these parties are considered terrorists due to the destruction caused and backlash they receive, though Apheresis and Sister Neveah develop a cult following.

25 Years Ago, Culmination of the 2nd Ascension
Killer Queen assumes the body of Miami's niece and goes on a rampage after attempting to use Apheresis to kill the remaining individuals with powers. Grimm and Shining Diamond kill Killer Queen once and for all, though this would never be public knowledge. Thousands die in the chaos and electronic devices failing during the battle result in almost nonexistent reliable sources of information. V disappears, and the remaining individuals with powers are never seen again by the public; leading to various theories. Most tend to believe Apheresis, Sister Neveah, and Killer Queen sacrificed themselves to save the city.

24 Years Ago, Insomnia Self Defense Force Formed

Ellis establishes the ISDF as pseudo military that is claimed to be for the event of emergencies. Of course, it's hardly a secret among those in Insomnia that this is an attempt to build up power to defend against a potential war with Silver for independence. Insomnians take great pride in the force and become more patriotic than ever.

15 Years Ago, Failed Rubidium Uprising
The remote region of Rubidium attempts to revolt against Silver rulers as a result of the extraordinarily harsh conditions that they are forced to survive and work in. The result of this is a massacre of the majority of the population, done by Silver to make an example of them to the rest of the world. Major participants in the uprising are dragged to Platina to be hung publicly.

2 Years Ago, Seizure of Hevan
Thought to be an act of aggression towards Insomnia due to the proximity of the islands to the city, Silver invades and captures Hevan with ease. The people are generally forced into labor or killed.

6 Months Ago, Insomnia Expels All Silver Diplomats

After over a year of bickering between Silver and Insomnia as a result of the events in Hevan, Insomnia orders all diplomatic members of Silver to return to Platina. Tensions between the two continue to become more volatile.

Day 1, Zain and Indigo's Arrests. V's release from the vault.

Said to have happened in early summer, so probably around July 1st. Zain is arrested and captured by Silver forces as an act of aggression towards Ellis directly, knowing that the two are close. Furious, Ellis falls for the obvious act to instigate things and declares a war for independence.

Indigo gains access to the vault and finds the mirror and as a result releases V, who had been sealed inside to replace Morrighan. V causes trouble repeatedly as he begins giving out powers, and eventually Indigo is arrested with Cardinal, Euphie, and Regis.

Day 2, Rutherford announces retirement. Zain, Aigha, Lazlo, and Razir escape Platina
